Substitute for heavy cream in a recipe?

We don't have heavy cream where I live (the highest milk fat content is 35%) so I always substitute it with that, but if making a drink, or something that you don't want really rich then a lower fat content will be fine, like half and half or table cream. It depends on what you are used to, if you have never had heavy cream, then a lower percentage will be perfectly fine for the recipe. Similarly if you just don't have heavy cream right now, think about what kind of thickness is required and make your decision based on that.Substitute for heavy cream in a recipe?
Whenever I don't have heavy cream, I use half-and-half. I have also used milk before, or a combination of milk and half-in-half.

Just know that whatever you're making will not be as thick as if you had the heavy cream.

Happy cooking and I hope this helped you :)Substitute for heavy cream in a recipe?
