How to thicken whipping cream?

im gonna use whipping cream filling in dates for a party. but its too thin to fill in. i whipped it a lot still its not holding its shape. Also, i dont want it to be sweetened so im not using sugar or anything with it (dates are very sweet). i want its consistency like cake icing...any tips?????????? thanx in advance:)How to thicken whipping cream?
Use a large, clean bowl and a balloon whisk as the air makes the cream 'whippy'. Don't over whisk or it will become liquid again. Stop as soon as soft peaks begin to form - basically, if you pull the whisk out of the bowl, the cream will peak up with the whisk. Cream should be freshly whipped - it should be whipped and used to fill the dates as soon before the party as is possible to stop it from going liquid again. How to thicken whipping cream?
You've either not whipped it enough, or you've whipped it past the butter stage and it's become liquid again.

A lot of people don't whip cream long enough. I suspect you need to need to whip it longer than you did.
whipping cream will only maintain a consistency like the whipped cream you get in a bottle.

If you are looking for something thicker, I would just make an icing without the sugar maybe?
whip more powder with less milk (or whatever liquid ur using) :)
Use creamed cheese instead.
Try beating egg whites until they're really thick, and mix it in?
freeze it.
