Cos it gets sour after that date,hehehe!Why is there an expiration date on sour cream?
Like all Dairy (milk, eggs, yogurt, cottage cheese etc.) products they have a short shelf life!
Bacillus cereus (spoils milk %26amp; cream) are also responsible for causing foodborne illness. Most foods are subject to bacterial growth.
uhhh the word sour in sour cream has NOHING to do with it being sour lol... XP
because u dont want to eat raw stuff do ya!
Because the name sour is not because it is spoiled cream but because of the flavor, it is a milk product and therefore can still spoil and be dangerous to your health
Sour cream, like all other dairy products, will/can go bad if around for too long, and will make you sick if you eat it past the expiration date the same way milk and yogurt does.
it will go bad if out for too long, like other dairy products
