Yes they are smaller,but more expensive.

How good would an easter egg size cream egg be!!?
The same is true for double deckers - im sure they used to be huge, and now, sadly they are the same size as every other chocolate bar.
I remember wagon wheels but then im no youngster,hated the things.As for cream eggs very yummy and yes very small ,very much smaller than they used to be,same as mars bars,they used to take a couple of days to get through.

lool wagon wheels! i remember them! and yeah creme eggs are deffo getting smaller :o thats so mean i really like them aswell now u practically have to buy two to gte the same as one old one :(

It is probably a little of each. Everything is relative. Time is faster too as you get older.
On ';Late Night with David Letterman'; they did a side-by-side comparison of Cadbury creme eggs[old vs. new]


The new ones are much smaller.
