I posted a little while ago and i found out how to make my own powdered sugar so im going to try that but i dont have any cream of tartar...is there any recipes for royal icings without cream of tartar???How to make royal frosting without cream of tartar?
Cream of tarter is usually used to keep egg whites from over-coagulating when whipped. If your recipe uses whipped egg whites, just be extra careful not to over-whip them. How to make royal frosting without cream of tartar?
I never use cream of tartar -- I just used powedered sugar and egg whites . I buy the pasteurized egg whites which come in a carton, and pour in small amounts until I have the desired consistency.
I have never used cream of tartar, just egg whites, a drop of water and powdered sugar.
