How do you get black shoe marks out of a cream leather sofa?

i have black marks which have come from my childrens shoes on my cream leather sofa.


i have tryed baby wipes and sofa wipes which have not worked

My kids done the same and Flash Erasers took it straight off.

try some white sprit...





but be careful........try some on a small area first..





use some soapy water to wash away the white sprit when your finished...
Magic erasers etc act like fine sandpapr and may remove the marks but will also remove finish and possibly pigment.





If the marks cannot be removed with a good leather cleaner then they will have to be coloured over and with cream you will need to get a colour matched for you. Do not be tempted by DIY kits for this as you will not be able to mix the colour yourself.





Baby wipes should not be used on leather furniture as they damage the finish on the leather.
Wear slippers.
I would only attempt to get it off with a proper leather cleaner
clean gently with cif
firstly stop the kids climbing on the sofa





secondly dont ever buy cream ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I agree with the first answer. I use magic erasers for everything. They are amazing. And the store brand which is cheaper works just as well.





I had to laugh when I saw the answer about keeping your kids off the sofa. I bet that guy doesn't have any kids of his own!

Try making a paste of Baking soda and water mixed then rub lightly allow a few minutes then rinse with warm water, then clean and condition your leather sofa with White Vinegar and warm water then rinse with cool water and dry Good Luck !
Try nivea face cream, apply using a soft cloth and keep rubbing. I've used it to get marks out of a leather jacket.
